bio changes
My bio is constantly changed by an unauthorized outside party. The constant changes are from a fake personality, Mauro Lanari, yet IMDB consistently recognizes this misinformed, unauthorized contributor over my own information, my PAID account and a bio originally scripted by my agent at WME. No outside party should be allowed to contribute on my behalf. Why is this IMDB's policy? I've submitted corrections eleven times on this and yet they continue to allow this catfish to control my information.

As Brad mentioned above, we cannot restrict updates for a specific person to a single source or reject further changes. However, if incorrect Bio information is being posted on your page we can correct that information when it's reported to us.
Has there been inaccurate Bio information listed on your page that you have submitted corrections for?

thank you for the response, I appreciate it.
Initially there was incorrect info submitted, saying I've directed a 50 Cent video when I haven't. IMDb changed my bio despite the correct info already in place, making me wonder why my validity was trumped by an outside party.
The first issue I have is that anyone can change bio info, regardless of credentials. This was originally written by my agent at WME and since updated by me to reflect recent work and to be more concise.
My second issue is how the first sentence was altered by this person to explain the abbreviation of my name. I could care less that it's known, I only abbreviated it because when I joined the DGA there was already a David Hogan and I had to choose another name (which was ridiculous enough). But this unimportant piece of info was forced into the first sentence when it really belongs in Trivia, if at all. The first sentence, in my opinion, is important because it's what shows up in Search results and, before it was altered, was a direct and informative opening. Now that it's been arbitrarily altered it's a weaker, poorly worded sentence that clunks it up with unimportant info. So, no, the information isn't incorrect, I just have no idea why it's in my bio, why it matters or why it was submitted by someone I can't verify is qualified to contribute biographical information about my life, name or work.
This is more of a big deal in principle than in actual sentence structure. I just find it unsettling that someone's reputation, work and personal info is subject to unverified biographers.
I've had good experiences with IMDb in the past so I don't want it lost that I'm thankful for the work you all do.
Sincerely,
WDH

Thanks for your note.
Regarding the first issue, please note that while we do allow additions/updates to be made to all mini-Bio's by our registered users, these submissions are reviewed and processed by IMDb staff. Given the volume of the information we list, occasionalmistakes are inevitable and when spotted/reported, they are promptlyverified and fixed, that's why we welcome corrections and submissions.
If you find that incorrect information has been posted to your mini-Bio, you will need to let us know through our online form and our staff will review the report and make the applicable updates.
Regarding the second issue, if there is a sentence provided within your Bio that is better suited as a trivia item, you will need to submit the Bio update through our online Update form, requesting the removal of the sentence and providing a detailed explanation as to why the sentence should be removed.
