Bette Davis correction rejected - how do I appeal?
IMDB is posting a myth about Bette Davis that I attempted to correct. My change was rejected - how do I appeal?

Old - You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Joan Crawford is dead. Good.
New - Davis is misquoted as saying this: "You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good . . . Joan Crawford is dead. Good." The myth began when Davis impersonator Craig Russell used this Moms Mabley joke in his act. There is no evidence that Davis ever said it herself.

This misquote was thoroughly investigated by the Quote Investigator, who found no evidence she ever said it. Here is the result of his investigation.

How can I correct this widely shared myth on IMDB?

Hi, marknyc. Welcome to the forum of/for the IMDb Community! The biographical quote item seems to have been deleted altogether rather than corrected. Also, for future reference, there is a certain syntax to which IMDb's real life quotes are expected to conform, like with words or phrases not belonging to an quote being placed inside of square brackets.
