Bel-Air page shows #1 top cast as Scottie Johnson?

The show for Bel-Air (2002), which is a remake of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, shows the top cast with Scottie Johnson, a white woman, as the first name in the Top Cast list of this Black-created show about a Black family.

Jayce: I think I know why this happened. For "Bel-Air" (2022), the top seven cast members all have the same number of episodes listed (7 episodes each). They are currently ranked by their IMDb StarMeter ranking, which reflects more than anything else the frequency with which people visit those individuals' IMDb pages. Scottie Thompson currently has the best StarMeter ranking of any of those seven cast members.

It's my understanding that once the episodes start to air, IMDb will start to take into account the billing order in which the cast members are credited for purposes of breaking ties among the cast members who have the same number of episodes, rather than just using the StarMeter ranking. If that's correct, Scottie Thompson will likely drop below the other cast members with whom she is tied for number of episodes because she is presumably billed lower in the cast.

Also, I'm not sure that Scottie Thompson will actually appear in every episode. Meanwhile, Jabari Banks, playing the main character Will, is currently listed for only three of the episodes. Viewers should update the episode cast listings on IMDb as the episodes air. As IMDb gets more accurate listings of the cast of each episode, the order of the cast on the series' main page will become more accurate.

I hope this helps.

Jabari Banks is now listed first (with 7 episodes). This seems to show that order numbers are taken into account, if added. (This is in spite of the show still being listed as in "Pre-Production".)
