Archive Footage/Episode Counts on TV Series Main Pages

Lately I have been working on fixing the credits in less scripted and more reality programming - such as the real housewives franchise. Take "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1720601/reference/ for example. Notice how the cast section has the credits completely out of order by episode count. Where a normal show would list in a way that makes sense, starting most episodes down - 100, 90, 80 - real housewives (and other reality shows) have the credits out of episode count order - 159, 180, 135, 153, 161 - which feels frustrating, wrong, and inaccurate.

This is because, on reality shows where often there is archive footage (flashbacks), cast members often gain additional archive footage credits which are not included in the ordering. So the page does not reflect episode count (a person's true number of episodes they appeared in, not including archive footage appearances) and the proper order.

My question is, could IMDB adjust the algorithm so that the archive footage credits are not displayed on the main page episode counts - thus making the credits appear with only the number of actual episodes appeared AND as a result the credits will once again be listed most episodes to least in numeric order.

Thanks.

Hi @regardingalex -

I have moved this post to an "Idea" so that other community members can vote on this request to make these count changes on title pages and this way our staff can be able to track interest.

Cheers!

You should see a count (now 3) on the left side of your Post above, and arrows up and down above and below that count. Clicking on those arrows is how to vote.
