"archival footage" attribute

I've noticed that a handful of credits (about a hundred) have the attribute "archival footage" instead of "archive footage" - however this isn't sending the credits to the correct filmography section, so I would like to replace them with the standard attribute.

Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding them. I've managed to identify and correct a few of them, but can't locate the rest, and a Google search for site:www.imdb.com "archival footage" hasn't helped much either. I don't know whether it would be possible for a member of staff to pull up an internal list from somewhere? If they could just provide the names of the people, I'm happy to do all the work of correcting them.

When I queried this last year, I received a response from Rida, who said:

Thanks for your post.

You will be able to use our IMDbPro search function here to locate these names.

I hope this helps.

At the time I did not have IMDbPro, so I wasn't able to attend to this. I now have IMDb Pro and have followed the link, but cannot find a search function that will tell me which credits have this attribute attached - could you please explain how I can search for attributes on Pro?

Or - if this is not possible after all - could someone please change/merge the "archival footage" attribute into "archive footage"?

P.S. After searching the forum, it seems a ticket was filed by IMDb staff 4 years ago but it was never fixed - https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/archival-footage-archive-footage/5f4a79e38815453dba8e7072

Do you have a name page example that uses this attribute? I tried to find it from datasets but couldn't find something with an "archival footage" attribute. If you have a name page example, can check how it's recorded on datasets.

@mbmb I'm afraid I don't have an example, as I corrected all the ones I could find last year. Perhaps we can correct an existing "archive footage" attribute to "archival footage", then change it back afterwards?

@tom_wake maybe there's no live one anymore but numbers from attribute list is not up-to-date?

@mbmb I'd be surprised - I kept an eye on it when I was doing the corrections, and it seemed to update in real time (more or less). I wouldn't have thought it would take so many months to update, especially with such a big margin of error as 100-ish.

Hi tom_wake & mbmb -

I have now manually modified all cast credits with the incorrect "archival footage" attribute and updated to the correct formatting: "archive footage".  These changes should be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!

@Michelle Thanks Michelle - can you confirm whether the changes should be live by now? There are still a few of these:

Incidentally, I've also just noticed these on the attributes list:
I'm not sure what's happened here; this can't be every "as..." attribute on the database (there must be literally millions of those), so what's special about these?

Hi @tom_wake -

I'm following up on this older thread to address the outstanding issues.  All instances of "archival footage" should now be removed from the contribution form attribute value set.

Regarding the name attributes, I have filed a ticket for the appropriate team to investigate the display of these attributed in the value sets.  As soon as I have an update I will post the details here.

All instances of "archival footage" should now be removed from the contribution form attribute value set.

It doesn't seem to have worked I'm afraid:

@Bethanny I don't see any more (as...) attributes, but I still see (archival footage) attributes. Can you fix this? And in the meanwhile, can someone remove the Solved tag from this thread please?

@Marco I think this come from wrong attributes listed on the site. It is not a technical issue like above, but it is easy to fix I will let you know when I am done.

@Marco Done! There are no more incorrect (archival footage) listed on the site, so it should no longer be a suggestion. It might take some time to update though.

Cheers!

@Bethanny Thanks a bunch, but there still (or again) seem to be some (archival footage) attributes somewhere in the database, as you can see from the screenshot below. Also, for reasons I don't understand, the number of properly written (archive footage) attributes is about halved..!

@Fran Thanks for what you've done, but I'm afraid some new (archival footage) attributes have been added:

Also, I still wonder why the number of (archive footage) attributes have been about halved, as evidenced by my picture upthread from about five months ago.
Can someone remove the Solved tag from this thread please?

I can confirm that the "archival footage" attribute has been removed in its entirety. Please see the image attached below for further confirmation.

Thank you for your patience.

@Ozzy Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately, the problem doesn't seem to have been solved entirely.

Also, there's this attribute now as well:

I have corrected to the correct attribute, the changes will be live on the site shortly!

Also, I checked for (archivefootage) and could not find any item with this attribute, can you confirm for me if there is any that I missed.

Cheers!

@Fran Thanks for, again, taking action. However, the problem seems to be hard to fix:

and
Unfortunately, I haven't got a clue to which titles these attributes have been attached. AFAIK, there is no way for contributors to find this out (if there was, all attributes sections would look much better I think).
Edited to add: Can someone (once again) remove the Solved tag please?

@Marco Hi!

We have cleaned up again, this list though, is generated by contributed attributes that are live on the site. I have created a request reference number V1064061964 so our team in charge finds a long term solution, we will not be cleaning them more until then, so no need to report them. Once a solution is implemented we will do a final cleanup of the incorrect attribute.

Thanks!

@Bethanny Thanks a bunch. It (still) looks good now. Fingers crossed it'll remain this way. :)

It still looks good, so it seems to be definitely fixed!
