Approved. And curious...

So I recently submitted (my first ever) IMDb cast addition. After graduating H.S. in San Diego I found my way up north and on the set of Jay and silent Bob strike back.. I was shocked when they picked me out of all the extras waiting... I played a simple role of a Production Assistant, in the background (and over the shoulder of) of the scene with Gus Van Sant counting his money. Super big clip board part! THIS IS WHAT I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR! lol, just kidding. Fast forward to now just realizing that this web site was even a thing, I wasn't surprised to learn that I was not listed in the credits. Heck I didn't say anything, and you can't even see my entire face. But as stated in my submission, the class ring i am seen  wearing in the shot was for me, a representation of not only myself, but my entire graduating class. So here's my question... Now that my submission has been approved, what happens now? I did notice that there was a chance I would not be added as I have no previous on screen roles... And if that's the case, I am ok with that, but just curious as to what exactly would be the point of allowing people to add their insignificant roles if they have no previous experience? And of course what exactly being "approved" means? Thanks in advance for your support! Kindly, Benjamin Ray Bradley  IMDb: Benjamin Bradley (VI)

Hi @Benjamin_Bradley_VI - As per our guidelines, for the credit to be eligible 'For cast/acting appearances, you must be identifiable and featured on-screen in the final released cut of the title.' Additionally, if you are identifiable but have no on-screen credit you need to submit a correction to add the (uncredited) attribute. Since this is your first credit being uncredited, it will not show on the page until you have at least 1 credited credit, all this information you can find on the guidelines linked above. Cheers!

@Bethanny thank you for your response! I anticipated as much and totally understand the thought and process behind your response! Maybe one day I'll find my way back to Hollywood and get an actual on screen credit 😁
