Another rejection I consider baseless

I usually do not check on IMDb rejections to my numerous contributions. I tend to believe my work is done when I enter them.

However, due to a rejection I found about another title, today I looked over my contribution # 230620-092838-409000

I have two bones of contention.

One is general, about the policy of letting in a limbo, without warning to the User, that some contributions were not approved. That leaves a burden upon the User self to check each and every one of the contributions, which is not fair.

Another is specific, and I demand an explanation, or correction.

The only place in the world, including the ever present American pornographic sites, that has the full movie

is OK, a Russian site. I have found there a few adult movies (like this one) and wonderful Italian, French and American classics from the 1930s to the 1960s, impossible to find anywhere else. Thus, my respect to the site.

The site as no other name I would use to describe it, at least for me who don't read Cyrillic. Therefore, the IMDb rule of not writing the link site's name ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS, can't be followed. I'm afraid IMDb may have rejected a dozen or so other links to the same site when I found it in my other researches!...

I re-read the 10 basic rules, plus the specific rules for Video Clips, and I can see no other basis for the rejection.

You shouldn't add a link for a pirated copy anyway. Plus you're adding a link to a full movie of an adult title as I understand it, which is also listed under "Unacceptable links"

Two relevant points from the guideline page: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/links-to-external-sites/G3FNEK9DW6TXW87J

Unacceptable links

Please do not send the following link types to this section:

- prurient content: links to porn sites, nude or topless photos will be automatically rejected.

- Illegal streaming site URLs: these will be automatically rejected.

@mbmb Your point is taken. Yet...

How may I know if a site is pirating what, in all evidence, is a 1976 title in public domain, since I do not see it all sale from any company in the world?

I swear I am dumb enough for not associating the IMDb rule about unacceptable prurient content with films classified for Adults in the database, therefore files that are not accessible by minors. That certainly reduces the scope of IMDb, as it misrepresents data (and its accessibility) for Adult movies. Stay well, prude Americans, and keep feeling our screens with gun fights, bloody wars and gore.
