IMDb seems to had 1954 for years until 2019, what source made it changed really?

I tried read that discussion on wikipedia with Google Translate, generally all established, reputable, printed publications -magazines, cinema encyclopedias etc.- from before internet age report it as 1954, right?

There's a strong source here that supports 1954 (A very detailed article about her from NYTimes in 1995)

"Born into an upper-middle-class family in Rome in 1954,"
