Animal cruelty

Has IMDb thought of putting a logo or some sort of logo on each movie that shows and animal dying or some sort of cruelty. I know as an animal rights enthusiast I would appreciate greatly knowing before I see a movie what I can expect or avoid. I think people would appreciate that especially anyone sensitive to animal killing even if we know it’s fake.

Thanks for listening.

Challenging to weed out false stories like fiasco around A Dog's Purpose. Although that one's also a good example of what you want, as a canine officer is shot and killed in the line of duty by a perp. If unlike me you like dead cops, this could be a positive scene.

I doubt they will do this. Adding a separate flag or logo for every item that some people might want to avoid would overwhelm the system in no time flat.

Ed Jones has suggested checking the keywords, which can be helpful; however there is an even more detailed way: the Parents Guide. The Violence & Gore section can be used to give fairly detailed information on animal cruelty. Check out this section in Black Beauty (1994) You will find a list of several scenes.
