"An unreleased title should not have credits with 'as' attributes"

I find to be a major inconvenience the fact that we cannot use the "as" attribute at the same time as upgrading the production/development status from "completed" (or less) to "released". The submission interface should treat it as a warning instead of outright rejecting it. (With warnings, the option "go ahead anyway" is available.) This would allow corrections to be made in a single edit submission.

For the IMDb staff, an example of a relevant conflict is reflected in the updates associated with the contribution numbered 180508-103316-973000. I wound up having to remove an existing "as" attribute, on account of this restriction. I will be having to add it back later on, once the production/development status change goes live. That's not cool.

I second this. I had this problem all throughout updating The Alienist series. Some weeks, I would have to wait 3 or 4 days for the status to correctly reflect released and then I could add the "as" attributes. I started taking screen shots so that I could remember what to put in.

Updates to production status are of priority "platinum" yet still take four days to be processed apparently.

Not a single staff member has chosen to follow this thread. I should have posted as a problem and left it to them to change it to an idea.
