An English fandub was added as the English version of a video game: rejected removal

Hello all!

I am apart of a fandub of a video game and somehow our work got added as the "English version" of the game here on IMDb. We are not affiliated with the game whatsoever, as it was a fan project. I requested for all English voices to be removed from IMDb and provided evidence/links showing statements that it was a fandub, and that the official page for the game has only Japanese acting, no English, and my submission was rejected saying I did not provide enough evidence. What methods should I take to show that there is no English in the actual game? My friends keep thinking I am apart of the official game as an English voice when I am not.

Any support is appreciated. Thank you very much!

Hi @JadeHorse32 -

Can we have the 18-digit submission reference for the deletion request? Do you have any material that can prove it's a fan version? maybe a video?

Thanks!

@Bethanny Hi Bethany! Here is the submission reference: #230303-140829-384000

On my submission, I provided direct links, as I also mentioned in my post above, to the comparison of the official and fandub project. There are no videos since it is a downloadable video game. One of my links is where the casting of the fandub took place, clearly stating it as a fandub, as the director is also voicing the lead and there are no indications of licensing or anything of the sort. I also sent where the fandub was uploaded, which was on itchio, where it also says it is a fandub, in comparison to the actual game's link, which is on Steam. There is no English voice acting on the game's official page. Please let me know if you have any questions because I would really like this removed. Thank you!

@Bethanny Hello again Bethany! I hope this has not been too much of a hassle for you.
I noticed that the voices are back on the game page after you had deleted them, but instead of them being listed as "English voice", they are now just titled "voice" along with the original Japanese voices. Is someone else submitting a request to have them added as credits to the IMDb page? If you need me to tell you which are the English which should not be there compared to the Japanese cast I can do that for you. I feel someone is trying to keep this cast in the credits when it is not a legal credit and should not be there. Thank you so much!
