Am I Right in Thinking This Title Shouldn't Be Listed?
Hi,
Have the IMDb guidelines been updated without my knowledge or am I right in thinking this title shouldn't be on here?
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12361974
This is Zack Snyder's director's cut of Justice League (already listed here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015). I get that this is an unusually hyped director's cut with more fanfare surrounding it than your average one, but I don't see how this is any different to any other director's cut on IMDb and, as far as I'm aware, they're supposed to be listed under "alternate versions" on the main movie's page. It's not even like Zack Snyder didn't get a director's cut on the 2017 film.
Should I submit a request to have this deleted (or merged with Justice League)?

Hello, cyber turnip.
Certain alternate versions, very much including certain director's cuts merit for an inclusion as separate titles if there are drastic differences which practically make for two very different movies.
Some examples:
Overall, the procedure is very case-to-case and one of the things to consider is whether studio treats the version as a distinctively separate entity.

Hi cyber_turnip,
As Nikolay has stated, there are certain alternate versions that will be eligible for a separate listing providing there are significant changes to the title. In this case our editors have determined that the mini series 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' should be listed separately.
Thanks
