Alternate version data badly formatted

I submitted an Alternate Version for the silent film "Der Kampf ums Matterhorn", #190519-195508-476000, and got the notification that it was 'badly formatted'. I did check the guide pages as to what constituted a genuine alternate version (in this case, export prints were actually truncated by three reels, changing the ending), but it gave no advice as to specific formatting required.

Is this code for another issue, such as 'submitted under wrong category', or 'evidence required' (I was only basing this on the restoration notes we were given) or 'contains ineligible information' (i. e. the suggested theory we were given as to WHY this might have been done)?

Hi Igenlode,

Thank you for checking. I've taken a look and the last sentence was posed as a question, which is likely why the item was rejected. I've resubmitted this for you now as a statement which will go live shortly.

Thanks a lot - looking at other posts here I was worried that all submissions now require corroborative images, which would be difficult to provide without access to the relevant archive holdings!

Often that is a requirement. I figure it has become more of a requirement in recent years due to amounts of abuse in the more distant past.
