Allow em dashes in outlines, summaries and especially synopses

I find em dashes useful when writing plot summaries—especially the synopses—but IMDb does not support them. I'm hoping the staff will change this situation and allow them.

Right now, em dashes are changed to hyphens. And so a sentence like this—

The preacher's daughter—a young woman who recently discovered her magical abilities—must confront the dark force threatening her village.

—becomes a sentence like this:

The preacher's daughter-a young woman who recently discovered her magical abilities-must confront the dark force threatening her village.

I'd love it if the staff could change things so I can use em dashes in the outlines, summaries and especially synopses.
