"Alex Wilson" - wrong linkage

I've just been at the "Alex Wilson" of "All Creatures Great and Small" (female)

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0932970/?ref_=tt_cl_t_8

And went on to research the other actors of the same name. This way I came to "Alex Wilson" of "Gas!" (male)

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm9318841/?ref_=tt_cl_t_7

a totally different actor but the episode of the actress mentioned before of "All Creatures Great and Small" is linked in his profile, too!

It looks like there was a name split performed but the deletion of duplicated credit from one of the pages was failed during that split.

Split was performed incorrectly though, credit for "All Creatures Great and Small" needed to be moved to the new page and all others needed to stay in old page. That's why I made a submission to swap name pages and they're all approved so I successfully swapped credits now.

Only thing left is swapping picture tags, leaving submission numbers for staff here:

@mbmb Thank you for posting these submission reference numbers! I have checked them out and they are already approved.

Cheers!

@Maya Thanks but it seems these tag edits made these images disappear from the name pages.

Can you make these two images appear in the tagged name pages again?

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075472/mediaviewer/rm354029312

That would help to prevent a further confusion.

Hi @mbmb -

Unfortunately, since these are user contributed images, they will not display on the tagged name pages and will only display on the title pages.

Why then did they used to show up (as mbmb suggests) on the name pages? I seem confused, but to be fair, I wasn't following this thread closely from its inception.

@Michelle The only reason I asked about it is because they used to show up on these name pages before I edited their tags.

Well, mbmb, for the past several months, the IMDb developers seemingly have been running experiments (or the like) that alter the system behavior when it comes to tagging people in images (e.g. for a brief period of time, images uploaded to title pages via the IMDbPro UI would supposedly show up on name pages corresponding to people tagged in the images), so maybe the usual anomalies that have existed for a long time prior to 2022 may be gone now. I could try performing a test of my own on an image uploaded to a title page back in 2014 or earlier. Usually, images with such a "status" automatically show up on the name pages of people tagged in them, because that was a time before the ability to upload images to title pages was extended to all IMDb members rather than limited to studio partners (who had access to IMDb Title Scorecard and Withoutabox).

Hi @jeorj_euler & @mbmb -

I'm not 100% certain why the images were previously displaying on the name pages.  These images were uploaded 5-7 years ago, so it may be that a previous display logic allowed the name tagging and name page display, whereas currently we don't allow user contributed images to display on name page Image Galleries.

Now I am a little bit more confused than before: I sent you those two links with description.

And now they completely changed? What was the link for the "All Creatures Great and Small" actress now is the link for the "G.A.S." actor and the other way round
