Adele James' filmography
In the context of another post about low-rated films, I looked at Queen Cleopatra's IMDb page. I think that IMDb has already acknowledged that some suspicious activities had be going on relating to that page. It seems like a complex task to monitor the ratings of such films because usually IMDb does not do much to compensate the sabotaging efforts of bots and trollers.
Other times, and it is even more unfair, films are poorly-reviewed by people who protest against other films. If we look, for example, at Adele James' filmography (she was the main actress in Queen Cleopatra). You can see that 13 of her films are rate around 1/10. Clearly, that is due to the hundreds of people who were so outraged by Queen Cleopatra that they felt the need to give a bad rating to all her other films. I think it can be detrimental to an actor's career if IMDb does not do anything to prevent those cases.

We are aware that there are people who may vote for the sole purpose of trying to inflate/deflate the rating for a movie. We have several safeguards in place to automatically detect and defeat this type of ballot stuffing: even though we count and display all unaltered votes in the rating breakdown, we apply several countermeasures against all attempts to skew the rating for the weighted rating you see displayed on the site. We will review the title in question to ensure that the weighted average is displaying as intended.
