Adding IMDb Credits to Page

Hello,

I've just found out that I have two credits on IMDb that were not linked to my page.

How do I go about linking/adding these credits to my page?

Also, I need to change my name on my page from Diana to Di - how do I do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Dipod: Please provide the link to your page, and tell us where the other two credits are listed if not on your name page. This will make it easier for the contributors or staff here to advise you.

Also, have you been credited in the past under the name "Diana" even if that is not your current preferred first name?

Thanks for your response.  See links below for my page and the other two credits:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2445705/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2193167/reference/

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9318768/reference/

I have been credited in the past as "Diana", but I've seen that people have credits on their page when they were listed under a different name and was hoping to have them all on the one page.

Dipod: Thanks for the info. I see that you have the page https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2445705/ under the name "Diana Leeson" (with two E's) and your other two credits are at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4862735/ under the name "Di Lesson" (with two S's). What is your correct surname? And what surname were you credited under for Nowhere Else and Chiroptera -- "Leeson" or "Lesson"?

You will be able to get all these credits onto one page, but I want to make sure I have all the correct information before telling you how to do the merge.

@gromit82 Thanks for that. LEESON (with two Es) is the correct spelling. I didn’t even realise that.

Dipod: [Edited to update this as Fran has already resolved the second step of this process. You only need to do the first step now.]

I suggest handling this correction in two steps.

1. Change "Diana Leeson" to "Di Leeson"

Go to the Diana Leeson page at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2445705/ . Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the Name Correction line, select "Add correction". Scroll down and click "Continue".

On the next screen, there will be a blank line on which to enter your corrected name. Enter it as:

Leeson, Di

There will be a checkbox labeled "Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Diana Leeson)'". Make sure it is checked.

Below that, there will be an Explanation box. In that box, enter something like this: "I am Diana Leeson, but now I work under my nickname, Di Leeson, and I will be credited that way on all my future credits." Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, your name should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

Allow a few days for the correction to go through. I recommend waiting until this page has changed to be "Di Leeson" before going to the next step. If a week goes by and the correction hasn't been processed yet, please come back here and make a separate post to let the IMDb staff know about the delay.

2. Change "Di Lesson" to "Di Leeson"

For purposes of these instructions, I am assuming that you were never credited as Di Lesson (with two S's).

Go to the page for "Di Lesson" at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4862735/ . Click "Edit page".

On the next screen, on the "Name Merge" line, select "Add merge". Scroll down and click "Continue".

On the next screen, there will be a blank line on which to enter your corrected name. Enter it as:

Leeson, Di

There will be a checkbox labeled "Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Di Lesson)'". Un-check this box.

Below that, there will be an Explanation box. In that box, enter something like this: "I am Di Leeson. Some of my credits were erroneously entered under a misspelled version of my surname ("Lesson" instead of "Leeson"). All of the credits on both pages are mine, and so these pages need to be merged." Click "Check these updates".

On the next screen, you will get two warnings. One will say, "By unticking the box to preserve existing credits, you are implying they are incorrect ...." If indeed you were credited as "Di Leeson" on Nowhere Else and Chiroptera, then the existing listings referring to "Di Lesson" are indeed incorrect, so you should check the box marked "Warning understood, go ahead anyway."

The other warning will say, "You are about to merge two separate name pages into one. Are you sure you wish to merge this name page into the page for Leeson, Di?" That's also what you want, so check the box marked "Warning understood, go ahead anyway" for this warning, too. Click "Re-check these updates".

On the next screen, your name should appear with a green background, and you should be able to click "Submit these updates".

Allow a few days for the correction to go through.

Good luck!

Hello Dipod,

The credits have been moved to "Diana Lesson", the credits will show on the page shortly! Are the onscreen credits for the movies listed as "Di" or "Diana"?

I encourage you to take a look at our Names guidelines, in order to have more details, help and instructions for the name page correction, you might be able to change it using our online self service.

@Fran

The credits have been moved to "Diana Lesson", the credits will show on the page shortly!

The OP said that her surname is "Leeson" with two E's, not "Lesson" with two S's. Also, she said that she prefers to go by the nickname "Di" instead of "Diana". So she should not be listed as "Diana Lesson".

The name on the page is Diana Leeson (sorry I misspelled), now the credits were moved, if she wants to modify or change the name, she can submit the correction using the online self service and guidelines.
