Adding crew credits: Does not meet contribution guidelines. Your contribution has been declined.

I just received this explanation for a recent rejection on a crew submission I was trying to add: "Does not meet contribution guidelines.

Your contribution has been declined. Please review our submission guidelines."

It was pretty basic crew information for a title, something I've done a number of times before. So I'm not sure why it is being rejected and the explanation and link to the submission guidelines isn't helpful at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi znicholson-

In order for our staff to take a look for you, can you post the 18-digit submission reference number for this crew credit submission? Once we have this information, our staff can investigate further.

Cheers!

@znicholson Hi-

Thank you for posting the submission reference number! I took a look at it and the reason why it was rejected was because of the lack of supporting evidence.

In order to get filmography credits added and for our editors to verify the information, additional supporting evidence needs to be submitted within the contribution. Depending whether it is credited on screen or not, there are different types of evidence that can be submitted. For example:

  • Screengrabs when credited on screen (credit roll)
  • If the title is unreleased or the person is not listed in the end credits: call sheets, receipts, contracts, third party news articles, amongst others...

In this case, I encourage you to re-submit these credits with supporting evidence.

For more detailed information on credit verification, you are welcome to review the following help guide How can I submit additional verification for a credit submission?

Let us know if you have any further questions/issues!

Cheers!

Hi Maya,

I resubmitted all of the credits for the team, this time with stills from the end credits (done through the upload and then copy link function provided), and these have been rejected because they do not "meet contribution guidelines." I'm not really sure what else I can do to prove it.

@znicholson Hi-

I have taken a look at the submission and the attached supporting evidence, it has now been approved and the changes will be live on the site shortly.

Cheers!
