adding a credit for film not in database

I tried to enter a movie credit for a film that has finished shooting but is now in post. My entry was rejected because IMDB told me that the film is not in their database. If the production company has no plan to add the film to IMDB, how can I have a credit on my page?

Once again, I'm running up against the most poorly designed submission process. I hit the resubmit button and it took me to a page describing my data entry. The only two choices were "resubmit this form" and "save for later"

I added a URL to the trailer of the film. How the hell do I submit the form again? I clicked "resubmit this form" but it just gives me back the same page. Am I the only moron on this site who has these problems?

Are all submitted sections with a green background?

Sorry for the bombarding. I'm getting ulcers again. It won't make the director section green. I don't see the director in the list. Can't I submit without the director being recognized by IMDb?

Why would not the director section turn green? What color is it: pink/red or yellow? What do instructions say?

Thanks Ed, I was finally able to resubmit the form. One of the many things I couldn't get past was the attribute next to the film name. I was trying to enter "limited." It took a long time to figure out exactly how IMDb wanted it formatted. It kept rejecting what I entered.

I wish I could just spend 5 minutes on a phone call with somebody from IMDb so SOMEone could explain why this submission process is SO difficult and POORLY programmed/designed.

And I am afraid that if the process was not thorough enough, IMDb would quickly become garbage....

I understand the scrutiny that's needed to make sure things are legitimate. But the interface is SO poorly designed. I shouldn't have to clean up all the hair I pull out just to try to get a legitimate credit.

My apologies for all the bitching and moaning. Poor design like that just drives me nuts. They're getting an annual check from me and many others. They should at least put some of that into a better design or at least decent support (outside of this forum).

The credit has been added so all is resolved. As much as I love working as an actor, in some ways I hope I don't get another credit soon I don't have to go through this nightmare again. (Be careful what you wish for!)

Thanks for all of your help.
