Actor's conviction declined to be added

Turkish actor Ahmet Kural was convicted of beating his ex-lover. I added that to trivia, but my contribution (#201210-204218-857000) was declined with reason given as "Does not meet contribution guidelines". My contribution was "On April 22nd, 2019, an Istanbul court found him guilty of beating, insulting and threatening his ex-lover Sila Gencoglu and sentenced him to 16 months imprisonment." and in the below optional explanation box, I had even given link to the BBC-Turkey news report (https://twitter.com/bbcturkce/status/1120240385668911104?s=20) on the court ruling. What's wrong my contribution which does not meet guidelines? I checked and Cosby's, Weinstein's convictions are given in their trivia. Why the double standard for this Turkish actor? Or has his publicity agent has been given advance access to contributions and also given blanket veto power?!

Apologies, this was incorrectly rejected. I've resubmitted it now and it should go live in 24 hours.

Just so you know nobody has veto power on IMDb, we're an impartial database. There are some occasions we might work with a studio to keep away spoilers for their audience, but they can't veto a credit or trivia item if it's factual.

Hi.

I've recently added a similar item, regarding a sexual attack conviction of Turkish scriptwriter and it has also been rejected allegedly for not "meet contribution guidelines."

See contribution #210530-215915-232000.

What's going on? OK, first time, its rejection may have been a mistake, as you said. But a similar occurence in a similar case? I really hope someone over there is not intentionally blocking inclusion of cases of violence against women.
