Actor or musician?

There is a semi-scripted tv-show for kids which clearly have characters and actors showing up in various episodes acting out a "story". Sometimes there are people coming on the show, performing as musicians, dancing etc. These people are more or less a part of the story.

How would be the correct way to credit these people? As an actor or a musician, or both?
