Academy awards page question/idea

I just find it strange how the latest update to the Academy Awards year page has best actors on top of the best picture nominated films.  The Golden Globes and the BAFTAs page has the best picture awards ahead of best actors so I'm just wondering why its different with the Academy Awards?  Even some technical categories are above best picture nominated films.  Seems like the categories are mixed in at random after the best acting categories.   Just look at 1971's Academy Awards page: https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0000003/1972/1   Very odd.

I also think it aesthetically looks symmetrically bad as 3 names/titles on the first column and 2 on the second column for each category.  I also think with the pictures it takes up way too much space on the page.  You should be able to see multiple categories on one screen instead of scrolling through a long page of useless pictures.  People come to the IMDB for information not illustrations and videos next to every piece of information.  If I need to see what Meryl Streep looks like or what the poster for Star Wars is I'll go to the person/title's IMDB page.  Its completely unnecessary.  Or at least change to a smaller thumbnail of the pictures.
