Academy Award submission for Best International Feature Film listed as TV episode?
Cartas del parque: https://imdb.com/title/tt0094838, 1988 film by director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea was a Cuban entry for Oscars following year: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letters_from_the_Park
As far I can remember this movie had solo page, but now is a part of TV Series "Amores difíciles" https://imdb.com/title/tt14540766, series of six movies based on novelist Gabriel García Márquez work.
All films should have their own individual page, but also be part of this TV series. You did the same with the British anthology series "Screen Two", for example: the film Enchanted April as part of the series: https://imdb.com/title/tt5633042 and as a solo film:
https://imdb.com/title/tt0101811
Thanks.

Hi plur62 -
Apologies for the delay. The title has now been split, the standalone title page for the original film release is now listed on the site under "Cartas del parque", we have also retained a shell episode for the series re-airing.
Cheers!

Hi plur62 -
As I understand the issue, all six episodes of the TV series were first released as standalone films, and were later released under the "Amores difíciles (1988)" series banner, is that correct?

Indeed "Cartas del parque" was listed as a standalone movie until this year, though it was listed for years as a 1989 movie based on the listed Cuban release date of 15 June 1989. Apparently it aired on Spanish television before that. The Oscar submission may suggest that it was screened theatrically in 1988, and IMDb now also lists a limited Cuban release in 1988, but without a specific date.
Of the other episodes, the only one that has an earlier release date listed than the Spanish TV date is this one:

I did a 'little' reasearch, Cartas del parque is the only film out of 2,664 submissions for an Academy Award in the category for Best International Feature Film which has been listed as a TV episode on IMDb.
