In Progress

A/A IMDb staff. Appealing rejected company credits (again)

Hi, everyone:

I don't know what's going on with company credits lately, but I've been getting a lot of rejections with the excuse that “we did not capture a specific reason during processing,” even though I always include a link to the full credits.

This has happened to me in the last two movies I've audited:

If the person processing these credits is a human, I beg you to take the time to review the evidence provided (we volunteer a lot of our time to submit that data); and if it's a bot, please train it better... Thank you!

It seems the edits were in fact made, so not sure why they are listed as declined.

You're right, Peter. Thanks for pointing that out. It was my mistake not to check the final pages first.

The problem might then be with the notifications generated by the contribution tracking system, which would explain the large number of recent rejections in that specific section.

Hi ljdoncel-

Thank you for posting the references and screenshots! Further reviewing, I see the changes were made. As per the rejections, I have shared them with the respective team for visibility.

Cheers!

Thank you very much, @Maya.

As Peter pointed out above, this may actually be an issue with the tracking notifications. I'll keep an eye out for future company contributions and will report back here if the problem persists.

Hi, @Maya:

Circling back just to confirm that there's indeed a problem with the tracking notifications. Again, I've received four credit rejections even though they've actually been approved and are live on the movie's page (#260802-075807-000000).

Cheers!

P.S. By the way, I've also noticed that the "After" portion of the notification doesn't include changes to the company order numbers.

P.S.² Uploaded image to imgur as Spriklr compresses it to such a ridiculous extent that it becomes virtually impossible to read on a desktop computer.
