Solved

A soundtrack submission was declined due to formatting

I submitted #261021-223457-951000 but it has been declined becuase the formatting isn't right. The submission tool seems to think that all soundtracks are songs (i.e. pop music) and doesn't really cater for classical music!

I tried my best by putting quote marks either side of the name of the piece, but it was declined.

Can anyone fix this for me? The piece is Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor (BWV582) by JS Bach

Thanks

Hi AlbertoTreaddur-

Thank you for posting the reference! Taking a look, the reason why it has been rejected as badly formatted is because it was all formatted in one line instead of separate lines.

As per our Soundtracks guidelines:

  • Formatting: Each song should be a separate item. If your information does not conform to this format, try to find a similar entry in the soundtracks list and format yours like that. Songs should be formatted like the below example:
"Title of Song"
Written by person(s)/group
Performed by person(s)/group

In your submission, the information is formatted as the examples we highligh below that are incorrect:

Please ensure each credit role is presented on a separate line. The following examples would not be well formatted and would be rejected:

"Title of Song" Written by person(s)/group Performed by person(s)/group

or

"Title of Song"
Written by person(s)/group Performed by person(s)/group

You are welcome to correct this and re-submit it so that our staff can review it again.

Cheers!

Thanks Maya. I shall put the piece and the composer on separate lines as you suggest. I can't add the performers as they were not credited.
