A change in video corrections

Dear IMDb Contributors,

We want to inform you of a pending change in submitting Title and Name corrections to videos on IMDb and IMDbPro. Beginning August 1, 2017, we will debut our new video player experience (available on Desktop, mobile web, and IMDb Apps). As part of this launch, the ability to select ‘edit’ directly on a standalone video page will be removed. While the current usage of this feature is very limited, we do understand that this may impact how you contribute to the IMDb and we apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Moving forward, you may submit a video correction using our Report Video page (http://www.imdb.com/helpdesk/report_video). Here you can notate changes to Title and Names as well as submit your concerns regarding inappropriate content or copyright violation.

We appreciate your continued support of IMDb – thank you!

What about photo description corrections? Will that be available on 8/1/17 also? And where will those options be located?

Hi Cynthia!

This change only affects the video corrections experience; the corrections experience for photos will remain the same on and after 8/1/17.

Thanks!

Thank you for your quick reply! Although what that means to me is that IMDb will still not be allowing any photo corrections (grrr.....after I worked on a John Wayne correction for an hour and submitted to find that out) as of 8/1 either!...........First they get rid of our beloved Message Board and now this happens...I may just boycott for another 6 months! lol

IMDb allows for corrections of photos in a few ways. If you're not sure how to get something corrected, you can start a new post in this forum.
