2nd Unit Director/Assistant Director Should be Different Departments/Categories.
So, as ADs are completely separate to 2nd Unit Directors I fully believe that they should be able to have their separate sections. The AD department are completely different to what the 2nd Unit Director has to do.

I agree this makes no sense. A 2nd Unit Director is not an Assistant Director and should be separate credits as the skills are completely different. It is confusing for anyone to understand what the credit refers to.

The name of the category is ”second unit director or assistant director”. It covers different directors that are not considered ”main” directors. The category doesn’t refer to just one occupation.

Exactly, the fact that "the category doesn't refer to just one occupation" is exactly my point. I think it should. It is grouping two entirely different professions into one.
