#260716-042856-248000 - The 'burbs
Just noticed that eight of my submitted corrections were declined. I believe they're all valid and in compliance with IMDb Guidelines. Not to waste my time, I'd suggest the IMDb reviewer brush up on the Guidelines:
- Why adding a SPOILER tag was declined
- Why the sound of a raven instead of a crow is a "Factual Mistake" instead of an "Audio/visual mismatch" ("Character error" might be a better choice, but IMDb Guidelines for Factual Error state "Errors in fact, not in the created universe.")
- Guideline: Please don't submit "mistakes" that were clearly intended by the filmmakers, for humorous purposes or otherwise
- Guideline: Artistic license: Please allow for artistic license on the part of the film makers.
- Guideline: Nitpicking: It's not the viewer's job to pick apart movies and find fault with them. Allow room for artistic license.
- Guideline: DO use only 3rd person perspective ('he', 'she', 'it', 'they') when writing your submission / Do not use 2nd person ('you')
- Guideline: Please try not to include anything that reveals key elements of the plot at all, but if you can't avoid it, begin your item with: SPOILER:
- Guideline: Plot holes: We're extremely wary of these... believing that you have a better solution for a character's dilemma, does not justify a plot hole entry.
I believe the above cover all of the declined items I submitted. If not, please let me know which guidelines apply for the declined items.
Thank you.
Bob
