#260522-190944-196000 incorrectly rejected

I submitted a request to delete an erroneous "goof" item, which was declined with a reference to submission guidelines. I'll quote the submission guideline bullet item I believe to be appropriate for deleting erroneous "goof" items:

"If submitting a correction or deletion request for an existing goof, please explain why you believe the goof is wrong."

If you want more evidence that I am correct, I'll provide a link, but the claim that resistors were invented in the 1950's is ludicrously wrong. They were a component of radios built in the 1920s, and have continued to be used in electronic products ever since. Here's a link:

Resistors were in use in Murdoch's time, though generally constructed as needed, rather than being purchased from an independent manufacturer.
