1997 Persuasion with Amanda Root missing from search and filmography databases
Urgent matter! The iconic version of Jane Austen's Persuasion distributed by BBC and Sony starring Amanda Root and Kiarán Hinds is no longer findable in your app or website. Not only does searching for "Persuasion" fail to bring up this version, it is also missing from the actors' filmographies. A Google search leads to a still existing IMDb page but you are no longer providing users a method of locating it. Please rectify this error immediately. Thank you.

lol I thought this was an interface for actually for submitting a problem, not just shouting into the void. really hope IMDb somehow fixes this

The "Persuasion" you are looking for was actually from 1995, and it first aired as part of the BBC series "Screen Two". So it is listed at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114117/.

I would argue that adding this as part of the BBC2 series of TV movies, "Screen Two", is probably wrong. I’m not an expert of BBC TV movies or anything, but ”Screen Two” is probably be a bit similar to e.g. ”ABC Movie of the Week” ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_Movie_of_the_Week ) and other similar ”time slots” where they just air different TV movies under some promotional banner (often channel/distributor related like ABC or BBC). This is different than a proper ”TV series”.
