10 Kilos (2025) - Original Title should be different

10 Kilos (2025)

#260909-163246-692000

I tried submitting a title change because I'm quite sure the original release title was different, but IMDb editors rejected one change and honestly I'm not sure what the proper title would be. Per the IMDb listing, the original release date was August 7, 2025 in Israel (this is an Israeli film). I found this article from that time in Hebrew marking the title as "10 קילו קוקאין" which translates phonetically to "10 Kilo Cocaine." However, the film is primarily in English and there also seems to have been an original English title in Israel of "10 Kilos of Cocaine," so if the primary language matters then that should probably be the original title. You can see the original title, both in English and Hebrew, on the original posters:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7450390/mediaviewer/rm324839682/?ref_=ttmi_mi_2_1

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7450390/mediaviewer/rm764198146/

The film was later retitled to just "10 Kilos" and remains so for international markets but there's enough evidence here that either "10 Kilo Cocaine" or "10 Kilos of Cocaine" was the original release title. Should we change to the longer English version?

Hi sycasey80-

Thank you for posting the reference and links! After further reviewing, the changes have been applied and will be live on the site shortly to include the original title below.

@Maya Really? You reviewed what exactly? Don't you know only relevant and correct evidence for original title is the onscreen title card from the movie itself? I don't see such evidence provided here, where do you see it? Nothing said in this post is relevant for original title change. And you are making the change based on words of someone who says "honestly I'm not sure what the proper title would be" without a single valid evidence provided.

Here is the onscreen title of the movie which is the only thing that matters for original title:

you changed thread to Solved without making my reply public so I have to post again to make it No Status again.

@ashash I saw the previous comment, but I will note that in some cases (and I believe that this is such a case) a film may have been presented with one on-screen title originally for festival release or other early screenings and then have it permanently changed later. In that situation, no one can get a screenshot of the original title because they can't go back in time and see it at that festival, but the original title should still be reflected in the database.

In that situation, I think evidence from news articles, movie listings, movie posters, etc., released at the time can suffice. I provided such evidence here.

@sycasey80 that's just a speculation, there needs to be a better evidence for these cases than the ones presented here. Current evidence is clear. And release page shows first release is a wide release. I could also speculate it was in Hebrew for example but I don't have evidence for it.

My comment around "I'm not sure what the proper title would be" was around whether we use the English or Hebrew version of the original title, not that I wasn't sure about the film having a different original title.

@ashash Yes, current evidence for current title. My contention is that there was an earlier title that the film publicly screened under.

A festival screening from March 2025 (which is earlier than the any wide release listed on IMDb) shows "10 Kilos" title: https://jfilmboca2025.eventive.org/schedule/677412d1f9df4f8b6353ec6c

I think that disproves your theory about "film may have been presented with one on-screen title originally for festival release or other early screenings and then have it permanently changed later"

My understanding and research indicates "10 Kilos of Cocaine" was simply a "working title" during production before any release. But since the first ever release it was always "10 Kilos"

@Maya why are marking it "Acknowledged" without making my reply public which pretty much disproves the theory presented here? And without replying anything?

@ashash Ah, you could be right about that then! I will abide by whatever decision is made here.

@Maya thanks and sorry for spam, when everything gets marked as "Private" it becomes pretty confusing.

@ashash - No worries! This is how it works since depending on the content within the post, the Sprinklr system might detect links and automatically mark posts as private as a safety precaution.
