Is there a way to make a List of Lists ? I found other Lists I would like to list with one of My Lists I do not want to copy the contents of other persons' list after they did all the work Add by List number "ls000000000" https://www.imdb.com/list/create Create a new list List your movie, TV & celebrity picks * Titles * People * Images Many people make Lists at IMDb and may want to do this too

Hi ACT_1, At this time there isn't a way to create a list of lists. You can create a list with Titles, People, Images, or Videos. I've marked your question as an Idea so other IMDb users and IMDb Staff can see your feedback for this.

Great idea act 1. It would be really useful . Recently I had this idea to do a poll on dance scenes in non musical or non dance movies. I had worked all day on it only to scrap and delete when it came time to create the get satisfaction discussion page because that is where I saw that Jen had already done two poll suggestions on the same topic. Mine is gone now. I wasted my time. Then there was the other idea that is more inline to what you are saying. When I had bought the complete series of “Liberty’s Kids: EST. 1776” and started a poll based on the celebrity voices in Kids Tv animated shows, I also came up with the idea of doing a poll on shows and movies about the American revolution. When I was doing the list page for that poll suggestion, I did see too the right on the page a few lists (not poll suggestions) of people who did list only on that same topic. If I do do a poll suggestion on the subject of movies and shows about the American revolution and the American colonial revolutionary period, I will have to give those lists credit in the description too weather I use them or not. The point being is that there should be some way to check first for lists and polls on any topic first before doing a list or poll suggestion.

Also may I suggest putting a search for a character back. I am not talking about character pages. I am talking a search through cast lists of titles for titles that have that character or a similar character name too.

I don’t want to sound snide or cynical here, but has that really stopped anyone from creating an essentially a character based poll? People just switched to ether the image poll option or the people poll option to create their character polls. All that did was to clear up the mess that were the character pages. I’m not talking about creating new character pages. I’m talking about using the search function to search through cast lists for titles with that character and leave the users to figure out how to create a character poll using the Image option or people option or title option.

Let me clarify this. Under the old system, doing a character poll using the character poll option, there would had to be in existence a character page for that character in order to use that character in the poll. If there wasn’t, a character page had to be created which would remain on the IMDb long after the poll was done. And you would have to select the image for that character to automatically appear in your poll. The trouble with that is anyone could edit a character page and thus change the image in your poll to something you didn’t want. Also there character pages for really minor characters or two or more character pages for the same character because of the different ways the character was written or listed. Under the new system and what I’m suggesting, they only get a list of titles with that character and it will have to search while not creating a list for a poll. Aka, a separate window or page on THEIR COMPUTER. And then they can search to use ether the right title, person, or image for their poll and write the character’s name in the notes for that entry or in the list description. This is stuff you guys all know. It is ackward but easy. So why did I have to be a jerk and write this? I feel like an ass right now.
