Live Poll: Weren't They Together?

This was A LOT of research! I'm not completely sure the older ones are right - if in all the titles I included the actors played romantic couples. ------------------------------ Sometimes actors play romantic couples so much that you'd almost think they were together in reality. Which one of these acting couples have you enjoyed most together? Want to talk about it? Click here! * minimum three projects playing a couple; must not have been romantic partners in real life List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls045867417/ Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/5MP0vLCVwG8/ ------------------------------ Should I make the threshold lower? Like four or five projects?

Just because two actors appeared in the same film together isn't enough for them to be on the list. They have to have been a romantic couple in a film for that to count.

Jen,I really like this poll suggestion. It's obviously a labor of love.Three projects together seems like a reasonable initial threshold. I would only tighten the constraint (criteria) if three projects together leads to more than 35 couples.I would also add the criteria that the couple needs to appear in more than one series. That would exclude Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, who appear in four film together but only in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' series.Feature Film With Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley (Sorted by Popularity Ascending) https://www.imdb.com/search/title?roles=nm0089217,nm0461136&title_type=featureI edited your original post to add the link to your list.https://www.imdb.com/list/ls045867417/This is first couple who came to mind:William Powell and Myrna LoyThis would also probably be my vote.

Dan, If I can't keep couples within the same universe, I can't include Nick and Nora. So I'm going to keep them and add Bloom and Knightley.

Jen,Your point is well taken. I could have sworn that William Powell and Myrna Loy were lovers in The Great Ziegfeld (1936). It's been too long since I've seen the film and I was mistaken.

One of the Loren-Mastroianni titles, Una giornata particolare, is questionable: there may be some romance, but Mastroianni plays a homosexual.

I noticed that but I figured since they had sex and they had a relationship as friends. But I'll take it out. Thanks.

Well done and well researched, great job! I can't believe I am saying this, as modern options normally don't need the help in filling out answer pools for polls, but I would like to see a few more modern examples, if possible (not even sure their are anymore 3 plus options). Too bad, Leonardo DiCaprio - Kate Winslet don't have a third movie to join Titanic (1997) and Revolutionary Road (2008) yet. It is only a matter of time before they reunite for a another project. I am not sure it is fair to hold retro couples and modern couples to the same standard. Whereas modern couples are still building their filmographies and retro couple were more prolific under the old studio system (maybe 2 for modern and 3 for retro). The chemistry on-screen is the driving factor for me rather than the number of projects.Jennifer Lawrence & Bradley Cooper: Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013), Serena (2014) Leonardo DiCaprio & Kate Winslet: Titanic (1997) and Revolutionary Road (2008)Amy Adams & Christian Bale: American Hustle (2013) and Vice (2018)Ethan Hawke & Julie Delpy: Before Sunrise(1995), Before Sunset (2004), Before Midnight (2013)

Lawrence and Cooper weren't lovers in American Hustle. Will add Delpy and Hawke.

The Lawrence and Cooper couple is just a matter of time. A related tabloid headline, Jennifer Lawrence Angry At Bradley Cooper For Casting Lady Gaga In ‘A Star Is Born’?
