If I may make a suggestion: The title confused me. I thought you were talking about characters in movies that are nerds about movies, rather than nerds in movies. Does that makes sense?
Therefore I think the title "Nerds in Movies" would be less confusing.
And I think my vote'd be for Hermione Granger.
Many of these I don't consider nerds. Geeks, brains, dorks, etc. maybe. But not nerds.

Funny I was just looking at this list yesterday for the first time in who knows how long. I'll remove the link, as you're right it is inactive - but I think I'll keep a lot of the suggestions she said to remove, as I'm using "nerds" as an umbrella term which will encompass any dorks, geeks etc.
