I added the most recent Cars franchise characters.

Are you asking why I couldn't or why I wouldn't chose to do an image list? I can think of a half dozen reasons to the second. I do like character lists for their simplicity and look, but dislike them for some of the drawbacks.

I have provided the alternative character based poll suggestion here: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls068185527/. In the end, although I think both look good, for me it is a tough call, as to which is preferable.

I was concerned about showing the early voice actors in the credits, so hence one reason I did the image poll suggestion. But, this worked out nicely with a cleaner look and the ability to still highlight the George Carlin, Paul Newman and Michael Keaton voices in the earlier movies.
