I don’t understand Lassie in this list. It seems weird to me because I was expecting a list of women. I saw that you made non-human lists before. That’s a better place for Lassie I think.

Hoekkie,

I understand that and I only did it because she was classified as a female canine. But I don't mind taking her out since, as you stated, I had her in the non-humans list. That's a good point - she'll be removed!

Good one Jess, she's one of the first characters I think of when I think of female heroes. Thanks for the vote

Live Poll: http://www.imdb.com/poll/LHD7H1iWiqI/?ref_=po_fp Cheers to the women! And cheers to Kyle! : )

I love all of them. 'What a list. Clarice is my all-time favorite but I might vote for Norma Rae of Karen Silkwood because they're so great and will probably be the underdogs.

Thanks Ruby (!!!) Yeah, I thought the female heroes deserved the spotlight on the poll board. I knew Clarice was your favorite (Isn't SOTL your all-time favorite film?) but I think her and Ripley will go head-to-head here.

I think Clarice and Ripley will go head-to-head here, as well. 'Should be close. 'Good memory, Kyle: SOTL is in my top ten favorites, probably top five, which is pretty much like saying my all-time favorite because when I get down to my top five or ten, I can't pick just one. SOTL has staying power that hasn't been tested with the others, though: The two films that I often put right at the top, for example, I've only seen probably two times each (they're hard-to-find foreign language films, never on movie channels, etc.), whereas I've seen SOTL - wow, I'm going to guess forty times and I still love it. There's really something to be said for that.

I think I remember two of your favorites from ElMo's poll of the poll board top ten lists: Schindler's List and The Apartment? I remember Schindler's List because that's got to be in my top 20 probably and I remember The Apartment because Jack Lemmon is my Dad's favorite actor (and one of mine), not to mention it's a great film. I think I remember most people's "cover film" (the film that is the image for their list) and I'm thinking maybe The Apartment is yours? It was an older classic, at least, maybe? I think I'm going to go check because now I'm trying to remember everyone's, lol.

My list has been about the same for a long time but, on my own personal list, I think I might move two off and add two from 2017! That goes against my rules because I never put a movie on a favorites list until a year has passed since I've first seen it and only about ten months have passed since one and only about two or three since the other! And #11 at the time of ElMo's poll was from 1926 and it's still #11. But two from 2017?!
