Hi there.  Regarding my resume, I am unable to edit existing data in the additional credits section.  I only have the option to add a new credit.  I cannot modify or delete a project that is currently listed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

I agree with all those complaining.  The IMDb Resume methods for editing were fine and sufficient & more importantly actually worked before this supposed improvement.  The improvement is not a solution to anything and instead makes it impossible to add new film/tv credits (if unverified) to an actors IMDb Resume.  Why did IMDb endeavor to fix something that was not broken, breaking it in the process?  Short films, for example, are not always officially submitted and verified by those filmmakers... but if an actor performs in one or many and if it actually exists, etc. - that credit should still be allowed to be added to an actor's resume as they always have been before.  IMDb needs to fix this issue and expeditiously, as why have an IMDb Pro account if you cannot also have an accurate and updated IMDb Resume?  Please assist us, IMDb.  Please roll-back your improvement or make it possible to add film/tv credits again to IMDb resumes without such a project only being verified by IMDb. Thank you!

I cant add anything in there anymore, actors credits projects etc. I just send a complain about it earlier today, I do think as paying members we should have more explanations for a SHUT DOWN of "IMDBs major purpose" (adding credits) !

Very disappointed that we can no longer control the order of resume entries.  Short of deleting and reentering all my credits, my new entries automatically go to the bottom of the list.  Would appreciate being able to control the order of entries within each resume category.

Thankyou for your feedback.  We’re always listening to our users and willcontinue to take this feedback into consideration as we evolve our site.

I hope so.  Typically, as actors, the roles we book as we gain more work are roles of increasing importance.  By not having the option to move new entries at all -never mind to the top - your current structure creates more "paperwork" in having to completely re-enter our entries.

Seriously, I am stunned that this ability is not available. EVERY site that allows you to enter resume items allows you to control the order. (Including IMDB until this "improvement"). Please don't insult us by telling us that you've improved something when what you've actually done is made it virtually useless. At least, when we add a new item, give us the ability to put it at the top or bottom of the list. I don't know anyone who would want a new credit placed on the bottom of a list. The decision to use that as the default is exceedingly dumb.

Ditto.  I am equally pissed about this new "improvement."

I can't even add my own additional info. keeps taking me to add a credit page for imdb to verify. The old resume version was better as you had control of this. Disappointed in the new imdb update.

Hi Lee, thank you forbeing a member.  Please submit your credits via our “official credits”contribution process for your film, TV, video, and video game work.  Thiswill allow these verified credits to show up across both IMDb and your IMDbProresume.  You can still add new resume credits for your other projects suchas commercials, theater, etc.

This is unhelpful, We want to submit UNOFFICIAL credits for film and tv as we were able to do before your 'improvement'.

I fully agree.  Does IMDb really not understand that each and every film, television and video project cannot be submitted as an official credit?  For example, the USC School of Cinematic Arts - the #1 film school in the world - does not even allow their student filmmakers to post student shorts and features to IMDb.  But each year, there are still scores and scores of such projects produced and disseminated.  They are seen at Sundance, win student academy awards, etc.  IMDb seems to be suggesting that such projects do not even count any more.  Believe me, those filmmakers and the actors and actresses appearing in such (like my daughter) still work very hard on such projects and deserve to be able to list their own credits on their own IMDb resumes.  Plus... for many other reasons, not all filmmakers submit officially.  Actors, actresses and crew members cannot just arbitrarily decide to submit new titles if the filmmakers choose not to or somehow are not even allowed to do so. IMDb now apparently wants to alter the way that it has operated for years and now all of a sudden wants to declare that only film, tv and video projects submitted to IMDb and verified by IMDb can count and be listed on OUR own resumes.  Sure... we can list all the commercials and theatre projects we want... but IMDb now wants to claim exclusive dominion over film, tv and video???  Well, IMDb, that is absurd... and you really need to undo this nonsense and quickly.  You are treating your own paying clients... us - those who have IMDb Pro accounts unfairly.

In quite a few countries IMDb is not commonly used by filmmakers. As an actor, you should nonetheless be able to enter your performance into the database. Episodes are another problem. Not all filmmakers create episode pages, and as an actor I don't have the info, often I don't even know which episode(s) I'm in.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Can no longer add film/tv Additional Credits (software error).

(Pro) I want to add an Additional Credit: television, but when I try the wrong form is opened, namely the Filmography form. The same goes for Additional Credits: film. Editing the existing entries is still possible. I've opened a ticket and even posted on Facebook but as usual nobody at IMDb is interested.

We had a similar situation last night. My daughter has been invited to meet with a new agent; great news! When I went to update her most recent work, the new credit was added to the bottom of the list. After much fluffing, I decided that I would have to invest the 2 hours to delete and reenter all of her credits so that they would be listed in chronological order. I deleted her film credits first but when I went to reenter them, I hit the same verification issue that everyone is concerned about. Almost all of my daughter's work has been on student films and none are verified. So now there is a gaping hole in the resume. Panicking, I reached out to IMDb customer services via email late last night and today received a response that essentially said, IMDb has changed the rules and you need to verify before adding film/TV credits to your resume; the message did not acknowledge my problem and this not at all helpful. Bottom line, I think we will give it a week and if  the problem is not fixed we will pull the subscription, after all what is the point in IMDb if we can't enter credits.....

Indeed.  IMDb is clearly not actually staffed by anyone who has acted or crewed before.  Or they have somehow come to think that only studio produced film and television projects matter.

Basically, about two-thirds or even more of all working actors credits, for example, will no longer appear going forward on IMDb in any form... verified... or even now unverified on an individual's IMDb Pro Resume.  It is not like each and every member of a cast or crew can simply take it upon themselves to submit and have verified every short film, student film, tv pilot, indie film, etc.  That is clearly up to the producers to do.  Most do not.  Very frustrating.

Even more frustrating is that IMDb is not listening and simply admitting their mistake.  They simply do not get it because they are unaffected personally.  Way to listen and be empathetic, IMDb. And why the change for the sake of change?  Why not limit yourself to constructive and positive changes... or changes that fail to harm or negatively impact subscribers?  Who in the world even came up with the idea of limiting what subscribers can put on their own resumes?  No one asked IMDb to become the policing agent for entertainment industry resumes.  Ugh.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled In unverified credits, there is no place to add a film credit. It used to be easy....

I want to add a film credit to my additional credits (unverified). How can I do this. That category is not listed.

Great way to show your "paying users" that IMDB isn't listening and doesn't care...

I asked about restoring function for "paying users" to manage their listings and I get this non-answer nonsense as a response -

"Thank you for your feedback about IMDb. IMDb.com is constantly being updated and improved, and we welcome all comments and  suggestions aimed at improving its features, flexibility and ease of use.
We appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with us and we encourage you to post your suggestion in the IMDb Support Community at

https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/announcement-we-ve-improved-the-way-pro-member s-add-resume-data

where our staff and other IMDb users can vote on it.  This will allow us to measure  the level of interest.  Once logged in, you will be able to offer suggestions/ideas  for the IMDb community." blah blah blah

Does IMDB now use Lily Tomlin's phone company skit as an answer template?

Clearly an automated reply because they CLEARLY don't care about what we paying actors want and need to manage our listings.  When I clicked on that community link I got this error message:

confirm that the community domain you entered is correct in the URL.

If you think you arrived at this page in error and found a bug,

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Film category under Filmography > Additional Credits (Unverified) is now missing.

I accidentally deleted a film that was under  ADDITIONAL CREDITS (UNVERIFIED). However, the entire Film category under Filmography > Additional Credits (Unverified) is now missing. How do I reinstate that? Commercials, theatre, modeling etc are all there, but film is missing.
