contact imdb/video issue

I'm having an issue uploading video and have done so multiple times, changed the format, made the video shorter, etc. and still it is giving me issues. I want to talk to someone at IMDB to help me with this issue. Troubleshooting on my own is not working.

  • Browser name and version number
  • File Format (WMV, AVI, Quicktime)
  • File Size
  • Video Length

Hello, thanks for getting back to me. Here is the requested information.

The type of video I am trying to upload is: a demo reel
The URL of the page I'm trying to upload video for is: https://pro.imdb.com/name/nm5285693?ref_=hm_nv_usr_prof
URL of the page that's giving me trouble is: https://contribute.imdb.com/video/upload/demoreel?ref_=pro_redirect_demoreels_upload
Browser name: Chrome, Version 66.0.3359.139
File Format: .wmv
File Size: 1.02 gb (originally), then I cut it down to 613 mb
Video length: 00:02:32 originally, then cut down to 00:01:32

Can you also confirm the error message you're receiving, and describe at what point the error message appears?

Also, would you be able to provide us with a link to a copy of the demo reel file(s) via Dropbox, so we can investigate further?

Hi Claire,

Sure. The error message I'm receiving happens after everything has been fully uploaded and appears to be fine. It says something like "We recommend you delete this and start over" and something else like "There has been an error with your video."

I can send via dropbox. What is your account that I should send it to?

You should be able to provide a shareable link to the video file on Dropbox, rather than sharing to a specific account.

I shared a dropbox link but it was deleted. I don't know how to share it with you with the link Steve provided... There is no option to upload a video.
