What to Watch recency bias

The "What to Watch" feature seems to base its recommendations on what was rated most recently, rather than what was rated highest. I've only just started rating things I've seen, and I've been doing it in clumps of similar works as they occur to me, and I've noticed huge swings in what the recommendations shows. I took some screenshots of it.

And here it is after rating one work.

It's a pretty volatile system to be skewed so much by one datum. I realize this can have utility, If one enjoyed a work and want to find similar works, though it can be an issue if you're just catching up on rating things you've seen and the recommendations keep getting pulled in different directions. Maybe include an option to switch between recommending based on most recent ratings and recommending based on overall ratings.

@brianspike42 Thanks for the feedback.  How does the “Top picks” tab in our “What to Watch” section look for you -> https://www.imdb.com/what-to-watch/top-picks/

We see that the screen-grabs above are from your activity page which uses a slightly older algorithm vs. the What to Watch section.

That tab does seem to pull from a broader range, and now when I go to the activity page, it's selection seems to be coming from the same source.

@brianspike42 The titles in either location can lag a little as it takes time to generate updated recommendations.
