Updates to the Ratings pages and functionality
Today we have made several updates to our Ratings pages and functionality. We have improved the design of the ratings details page to give it a cleaner, more modern look.
We have also made several changes, listed below. These changes only impact the Your Ratings page on the IMDb desktop Website. You may find much of this information by creating and running custom searches on the AdvancedTitle Search page. For example, to see comedy titles you have rated, sorted by your rating, see this advancedsearch. Or, to see titles you have rated that are in the IMDb Top250 list, see this advancedsearch.
What did we change?
1. We removed the Compact list view. This was accessible from the far right icon (see A in the screen capture below). The grid view and detailed list view are still available.
2. We updated the “Sort by” dropdown box. It now provides the two most popular choices: Most Recent (previously called Recently Rated) and Top Rated (previously Your Rating). Sort by: Your rating, Title A-Z, Release date (US),Number of votes, IMDb rating, and Popularity were removed. See B in the screen capture below.
3. We removed the Refine ratings filters options from the Your Ratings page on the desktop site. See C in the screen capture below.
4. We removed the Find More Titles tab. See D in the screen capture below.

5. We removed the Recommended for You section on the User/Ratings page.
6. We changed the format of data in the Ratings Export. You can export your ratings to Excel by clicking the new overflow menu (the 3 vertical dots) above your list in the updated experience, and choosing Export.
There are many ways to find new titles to watch. IMDb users can use Advanced Search, look through the recommendations for new titles to watch under People who liked this also liked... on any title page, or see Top Rated Movies.
Thank you for your continued support.

When viewing Your Ratings, there used to be an option to filter by genre, format, etc. I understand a lot of features are being revamped... Is there a new way to access this feature that I'm just not seeing? Or was it removed? If it was removed, will it be coming back? I often used that feature to find favorite movies of particular types, so I hope it is not gone for good.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled No Filters on my Ratings List.
There are no filters when I decided to check my list for TV Shows or Movies.
Everything just goes into the one mess. Normally I use the filter to help recommend a movie of a specific genre, but I don't see it in the list anymore.
Is it just me or have they removed it without reason?

The Ratings list, when sorted by "Top Rated", is no longer workable past 100 items, because on page 2 and further the "Sort by Top Rated" no longer works, and the results are instead listed with random personal ratings. Can you please fix this?

When I go into my ratings page and filter by Top Rated, it filters the first page correctly. However, when I go into page 2 of the Ratings, it again goes back to filtered by Most Recent.
If I now change the criteria again to Top Rated, it will take me back to page 1 of the Ratings. So essentially, I can never go beyond the first 100 top rated titles on my ratings page, when filtered by Top Rated. Help!

Used to be I could see my ratings broken down into categories (features, tv, VG etc.), well apparently not any more? I wanted to know when I would get to 2000 feature films rated and I was pretty close. I've probably reached and exceeded that now but I have no way of knowing as I can only see that I have rated way over 2000 titles.. how many of them are feature films though? Are you going to tell me IMDb? Are you going to work it out for me? Do you expect me to go through all my ratings to work it out?
No. Put the feature back on. There is literally no positive consequence, in any conceivable way, of the changes you have made to this site in the last year. This site used to be cool, one of the few websites that had actually maintained the user friendly qualities of traditionalism, and the notion that less is more. Now.. you are just like the vast majority of other sites. You're trying to be flashy and progressive, to the detriment of your own users who ARE the most important people when considering changes and user interface of your website because without us there is no you.

Hello everyone,
I couldn't find the answer to this question (maybe I was bad at searching...), so I'm trying here...
2 years ago, I posted this on my Facebook... it was really nice to be able to apply lots of filter on the ratings list. I could select the year, sort with lots of criteria (movies, type,...) :
And now, it seems we can't do anything anymore... except a simple sort by date or rating...
I often want to use these advanced features but can't... is it going to come back!!?
Thanks a lot if you have the answer!

I was one of a large number of users who complained about the changes to the Ratings List so that it is now no longer possible to copy items to my various MyMovies lists as I used to. I have just posted some more ratings and despite the complaints the Ratings List is still the same but I thought it must be possible to add the items to my lists without copying from the Ratings List. However, I can find no way of doing so. The edit function does not enable me to add and FAQs says something about a pencil icon which I do not have. IMDb is becoming less and less useful and I may not continue to use it much longer.

I'm joing the majority here to say that I'm really disappointed with this new update.
First, the new search is hard to find (and I'm guessing lots of users are not going to find it without this post and will be pissed). So at least, do something about that and make this new advanced search easy to find for users that want to sort their ratings.
Then the new search. It's fine, it can be usefull... but really, it makes what I did with my ratings much harder to do. I really don't understand why addind the new search caused the ratings pages to be "downgraded" this way. I think I'm not the only one that hopes that you will bring back the old ratings pages. And of course, the advanced search page can stay. But really having both would be great.
I hope you'll consider this request (and based on what I've read, I'm not alone).
