Title language problem
this problem exists for more then 4 years, why can't IMDB fix this already? i hate that websites use the local IP to set language instead of browser.
And most of the titles are from usa or anime from japan. I want the damned original title.
Yes currently i live in south america, that still doesn't mean that i speak the local language, and even less that i wan't anything displayed in it. So many websites do this and pisses me off so much.
btw not only imdb by all (i mean really every single on) my settings are set to usa/english.
With the titles in the current locallanguage i have to use websearch to know the original title, such a hassle.

It has also been tricky to provide the best experience due to the way we store some of the information about original titles vs. local titles. We are now free to fix this in 2018.
Until we have a full solution, our recommendation is to go to your site settings at https://www.imdb.com/preferences/general and on the menu "Title display country" please choose "Original" which is the first item on the menu. This will block the localization of titles which should improve things, even though there will still be some issues.

Even though I have in my settings set as United States for Title display country and English for Title display language, some movie titles still appear translated in my language (Romanian), on the website. Is there any setting I'm missing?

Hello,
I want all movie titles to be displayed in english, although I live in Croatia, Europe. No matter how much I fiddle with Title Display preferences on my Site Preferences page, I cannot get english titles in some cases. I log in, set Title Display Country to United States and Title Display Language to English, yet for some movies I'm still getting croatian titles.
Examples:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0947810/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1402488/
By the way, titles in the example above display their english title when I use Original Titles, but I don't want to use Original Titles, because in those cases foreign movies will not be displayed in english, obviously.
PS. I tried akas.imdb.com. The behaviour is the same. Also, I tried several browsers.
PPS. When I check the "Show reference view (old title/name page layout)" in Site Preferences, then it works as intended, so it must be something about the new (not so new anymore) web layout!
Thank you

I changed all the settings ("Title display country/region" and "Title display language") but it does not help. Could you please stop monitoring my locale and use the language I chose?
