New version of IMDb advanced title search launched
We are pleased to launch a new version of the IMDb advanced title search today. At the moment we have the same interface available at http://www.imdb.com/search/title with new software powering the results. In the long term we will be providing new, more powerful search options.
The new software is more up-to-date and more flexible than the old software. Our aim is to make the search results backwards compatible, so in theory, the only differences between the old and new search results should be an improved layout and more timely results. However, with millions of bookmarks and entry points to the new search, it was not possible to cover every combination in testing ahead of the launch, sorry.
We have already seen reports of some issues and we are working on these now. This thread will be used to gather all feedback and bug reports.

Since today, when I search, for example, for the best movies with 6.9 rating, the results displays the movies in popularity order. The first place is the most popular 6.9 movie of the moment and not the movie which is closer to 7.0.
And, for example, when I search for the best movies with a maximum 6.9 rating, the results apparently are in rating order, since the 6.8 movies are shown below the 6.9 movies. But the groups of movies with 6.9, 6.8 and so on, when isolated, are in popularity order. Please, fix it, since there is a great difference between an almost 7.0 movie and an almost 6.8 movie and I like to know which is which.

Hello. Today, I got this bug while searching for movies. Filter: Advanced search, year, and 2006. Then I get a list a list of 10 movies but , but when I click on "Show more" then I get a list of "Most popular movies". I'm expecting to see the expanded list of first 50 movies from 2006, but suddenly I get a completely different list. This must be a bug. The link is http://www.imdb.com/year/2006 and click on "show more".

the query parameter seems to have been renamed from "year" -> "release_date". so for example to search most popular titles in 1998 the url is: http://www.imdb.com/search/title?release_date=1998&title_type=feature&sort=moviemeter,asc

If you click on any year from a film title (Or the 'Years' section), it will take you to a page like this : http://www.imdb.com/year/1939/
But when you click "show more" at the bottom the link isn't working properly and it is giving a list of 344,673 titles, starting with 2016. It was working in the last day or two, because I use this feature virtually daily. This is from the main website and I tried it on both Chrome and Internet Explorer. Thanks!

I tried to see the ''Most Voted Titles Released In 2015'' (and another specific years). When I clicked ''show more'' site shows the ''Most Voted Titles''. All times, not a single year.

Before, when I selected a language in advanced search, the results it gave me were for movies for which that was the primary language. Now it gives all movies with dialogue in that language, even if it is only a few words (for example, Ip Man 3 comes up when I search for English-language films even though the film is mostly in Cantonese). It would be a good idea to have a "primary language" selector in the advanced search.

Thanks. I'm happy to see that the Advanced Search now makes use of the new technology.
I noticed immediately that this search now sorts the films properly by MOVIEmeter rank:
