Does anyone know how to filter my ratings settings? Is it possible to filter by genre or even just movies/tv episodes or will they just be done by the stars? Thank you.

Sounds like you've seen the options you have on the Ratings page itself.
But there's an Advanced Title Search, where you can do a LOT of refining.
It's available from the top of nearly every IMDb page on the dropdown menu from ALL next to the search box, or directly here:
