Solved

List ratings

Hi, Anyone having issues with checking my ratings on the top 250 movies or series for example? Under "You have seen" its just calculating for forever. Checked with another account on the same PC, works flawless.

Any idea for fixing this?

I'm on Windows 11, Chrome 107, and my ratings appeared quickly enough.

Hello @lillingabor,

I've tried to reproduce this issue; however, on the top 250 movies or series I do get to see the ratings for "You Have Seen".
So that we can investigate further about this and escalate it to our technical team, please provide us with the following information:
  1. Device Model
  2. Browser version number
  3. Operating system
  4. OS version number
  5. IMDb app version number (if applicable)

Thanks in advance!

@Edward Hello Edward,

It is a MacBook Air early 2014 with Mojave 10.14.6

The browser is Safari 14.1.2 but tried in Chrome as well.

I've tried to login with my gf's account and we can see the ratings there, so I don't think it's a hardware/software related issue.

Thanks a lot,

Edward

@lillingabor,

I've forwarded this information to our technical team for further investigation.

I'll reply once we receive further information. Thank you for your patience!

@Edward

Thanks a lot. Another thing to mention, I am logging in with a Google account and my gf has a genuine imdb account, maybe that's causing some problem.

Hello the community!

It's been a while I have a problem with my ratings: I've tried to find the answer to it, but couldn't find anything.

So, I'm posting the problem here, hoping that someone has an idea how to fix it.

  • When I leave my rating, the number of people voted remains the same.
  • As you can see on the image below, I can't see my ratings for the list of the top 250 movies [not only this list, the others too] and "You have seen" is calculating for forever and never came to any result.

I tried to check this from different browsers [Safari et Chrome], from different devices too: the problem remains the same.

I tried also to make my rating private and make them public back - nothing changed as well.

Thanks a lot in advance for any help! :)

Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation originally titled I can't see my ratings

The ratings count is not instantly updated. The rating count can take 24 hours to update.

As to the Top 250 or other lists - that would be a separate problem. Hopefully someone else will react to that. (BTW, I'm not an employee.)

@bderoes thanks for your comment! I'll check if in 24 hours the rating count changes to see if there is still a problem with this or not :)

[cause I thought that those two problems might be connected]

And as to the Top 250 / other lists, yes, hopefully there will be someone else to react.

Thanks!

@Col_Needham Hi, thanks a lot for the link!

I tried everything mentioned - but still no result, unfortunately...

I hope there is another solution to solve the problem.

Thanks!

Hello everyone!
Good news: the problem with my ratings seems to be fixed (if it might help you somehow).
For your information, nothing changed: the same laptop, no apps installed, and no apps deleted.
Yet, a few days ago, there was a short moment when some lists were not loading, and after the ratings appeared!
I hope it's the same for others who were having this problem, and if not - I hope you won't have the bug soon too.
Good luck, and thanks again for your comments!
