Yes, on every new page that opens.  I don't need it to open at all, since there is a login link already on the page.

@no_spam_gju69lum645l6​  This is not the intended behaviour, sorry.  Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/why-is-imdb-displaying-differently-on-my-browser/GF2ZAR69V859XLHF and note the point on ad-blockers likely interfering with the display of our pages.  Trying again in an incognito window should confirm this. 

Why is it necessary to beg for a Sign In just below the Sign In link in the first place? What does this accomplish other than annoying the user?

@no_spam_gju69lum645l6​ The sign-in reminder is designed to appear only briefly and only occasionally. If you are using unsupported software, such as an ad-blocker, to interfere with the IMDb experience then it sounds like your issue is with the provider of that (badly designed) software, sorry. 

AdBlocker is poorly designed? I thought it was the flagship adblocker?  Which ones are better?

As I asked, why is a reminder to log in necessary in the first place? What does logging in provide that I require? What does it do for IMDB other than tracking?

I didn't get an answer to what's so important about logging in...

AAMOF I disabled the AdBlocker and STILL get the request to sign in. So the answer was bogus. It still appears.
