Can't click any character.

Hi. I wonder, if there is a maintenance on the servers. I can't click any character. I just watch the movie Freaky

and can't click any character on the page. Does anyone know why this happens?

@Breumaster  Thanks for the problem report.  Please can you let us know how you are accessing IMDb? What hardware, operating system, browser, and in which country are you located? Have you tried a different browser?

We can reproduce the problem using Safari on an iPad but not on a laptop running Windows 10 so the issue is not universal.

Hi. My PC is an Intel with 8GB ram, ASUS. I just don't know which type, but about 7 years old. My system is Windows 10, I'm using an Opera browser (stable) and also tried my old Firefox browser, which comes to the same result. Can't click the characters. No problem by clicking the actors. I'm connecting from Germany via VPN. Yesterday the problem wasn't. That's why I asked about possible server maintenances.

@Breumaster  Thanks for the system details, it turns out the issue is independent of browser and hardware -- sorry for the wild goose chase. Last night I could reproduce the problem on my iPad, but not on any of the browsers on my Windows laptop so I was expecting this to turn out to be an IMDb bug local to the Safari browser.  

Overnight the US team have provided more information on what is happening.  This is part of a limited time software experiment shown to a only subset of customers -- you are in the test group as is my iPad, but not my Windows laptop.  The experiment finishes today and normal service will be returned tomorrow. 

Sorry for the inconvenience for the rest of today and we are looking at better ways to improve communications here, including internally at IMDb.

Thank you for clearing up. I'm always curious on such happenings. May I ask which kind of experiment it was? I hope my bank accounts are save. ;) Just kidding, but I really want to know about the experiment my computer was in, if it is ok for you. Also thank you for your fast reaction.

Since I update my system with an update from Microsoft, the "weak spots", the "leaks" are fixed.

Now I can access the characters.
