Advance Title Search filters

Evening, all.

I was wondering if there was a way to filter out podcasts in the search results for IMDb's Advanced Title Search.

I've been browsing through titles released in 2022 (,2022-12-31&sort=release_date,asc&count=100) in an attempt to catch up on things I've missed this past year, and because of the addition of podcast episodes on IMDb, the amount of dross to sift through has increased to absurd levels.

Could you possibly add an option to the Advanced Title Search to filter out podcasts, similar to the existing option to include or exclude adult titles in the search results?

(Personally, I feel that having audio-only podcasts listed on IMDb makes no sense to begin with, but that's a subject for a different thread.)

It's easy to exclude podcasts.

Just select it as (one of) the title types you want, then edit the url to include the "not" operator (!) for that type.

This will give you all the podcast titles:,podcast_episode

and this will give you everything _except_ them:!title_type=podcast_series,podcast_episode

and this will give the podcast series, but not the episodes:,!podcast_episode

@steve_michaud  In addition to the helpful advice from @bderoes above (thanks) you can use the “Title Type” section of to specifically opt-in the types you are seeking.

For example, this is just the feature films ->,2022-12-31&sort=release_date,asc

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback.  I tried Mr. Needham's suggestion by using the "Title Type" section to exclude podcasts from the search results.

By filtering out all podcasts, it reduced the number of results from 790,583 to 265,925 titles.  Quite a significant difference!

Thank you for the helpful tips!
