Your response is silly. If I added Starz (which you pay for) it is easy to remove. Your IMDB TV is "free" and there is no way to remove it. Amazon Prime Video said to contact you.
It's not _my_ IMDbTV. I'm not an employee, just a fellow user. But an IMDb staffer did mark this thread as Answered.
I interpreted the question as wanting to remove the IMDbTV offer from a title. So, different analogy: It's like asking to remove Amazon Originals from your Prime Video menu. I never signed up for either AO nor IMDbTV, but they both show as options under the Your Channels heading, and as carousels of available titles. Is there some way to remove Amazon Originals from the menus?

My question was not answered. As I said in my original post, I do not want to watch advertisements as I paid to watch ad free programming. IMDB TV content has ads and since my time is a value, I believe I am paying extra(my time) to watch the IMDB programs. It looks like there is no way to sort the programs with advertising and the ad free programs. I guess I might as well drop Amazon Prime. I subscribed to Amazon Prime with the understanding that the programming was ad free. Just another bait and switch tactic by a big corporation.
When you see that a title is available from IMDbTV, you know you'll get ads. When you see the title is available from Amazon Prime, you know it will be ad-free. I think they make it pretty clear that you're going to get ads before you play the title. The answer to your question appears to be that you cannot "remove" IMDbTV from your Prime choices. But you can certainly avoid them.
Or is your complaint that you don't get these warnings within the method you're using to watch Amazon Prime Videos? Perhaps this information is NOT clearly displayed on the platform you're using? (These screen captures are from the desktop site.) If that's the case, you should specify the platform you're using. And that will likely be an Amazon problem. (Amazon does not reply on this forum at all.)
I just got off the phone w a Prime Video representative and she insisted that there was no way to remove it. She used the phrase "part of the PrimeVideo platform". That is their way of not taking responsibility for any of this. It's a bait and switch scam. She refused to do anything about it except register my complaint. Frustrated as I am in the same boat. However, I added a few titles to my queue that were Amazon Prime and are now IMDB. That sure feels like they brought me/us material, to get us watching it... and then sold or let the rights go, just as they knew that IMDB would pick it up and they would get more revenue (vs. a cost). I was watching Outrageous Fortune, which is a foreign show and was going to watch Madmen... but not now. I'll just be watching more content on Netflix and Hulu, as I subscribe to all 3. Amazon will become worse than Comcast. This is what a monopy looks like. You paid for 1 thing, the are changing it on you. And you can't do anything about it. The feedback is clear: we paid for something - ad free content.
Right. But Prime doesn't provide everything FREE. A lot of Prime video is pay-for-use (rent/buy). So now, some titles, clearly marked as free-with-ads, is offered too. Some of THOSE are offered both as free-with-ads and a rent/buy. So you can choose to watch or not.
And that's complete b/s. I don't want this "free with ads" garbage. There should be a way to disable it. I'm not EVER interested in watching anything with ads.
Amazon Video started up as platform with included Prime movies as well as pay per view movies. Now they changed this and started DOUBLE-DIPPING with both charging for Prime as well as nudging people towards the ad-based content. I can't stand ads during movies.

Titles that are offered with ads are not also available without ads. That's not how the licensing agreement was formed. The content owner likely gets some of the ad revenue.

I have Amazon Prime AND I also pay for Acorn TV via Amazon Prime? Tonight I clicked on an episode of McLeod’s Daughters which is included with Acorn TV and suddenly I was dumped into IMDB and had to endure endless ads during the episode. Thanks for suggestion, when I go to the page you linked, it comes up with Acorn TV on that same screen, the more purchase options dropdown does not show anything else. I am already paying for Acorn, but IMDb seems to take priority over my purchased subscription for this series. I called Amazon but they were unable to help, did not seem aware that IMDb had suddenly appeared under My Channels (I never clicked it), and suggested I contact Acorn. I have emailed Acorn but I suspect that IMDb has invaded Prime and I will have to unsubscribe Acorn on Prime and get a separate subscription I can watch on my smart TV. To say that I am NOT happy with IMDb for hijacking my Acorn subscription is an understatement!
I will start watching a show, either on Prime or Acorn, and before long, they will be only available on IMDb. My Samsung smart TV isn't able to play IMDB content apparently, and the "commercial free" series I WAS watching for 3 seasons because it was part of my annual Amazon Prime paid subscription all of the sudden only plays through IMDB, and with commercials. In other words, I lost one of the main benefits of having a prime membership because of the switch. So even if I DID have a TV that plays IMDB content, I no longer have commercial-free episodes even with a $100+/year Amazon Prime subscription. Isn't that double-dipping? Guess I'll just watch something else (somewhere else) and re-evaluate whether the "free shipping" I get with prime is worth the subscription fee since I base the "is it worth it" decision each year on the combination of services, and that combination of services just got drastically reduced.
dapostalboy, Sounds like bad luck that multiple series you were watching turned into IMDbTV offerings. Not every Prime freebee is from IMDbTV.

The issue you described is due to the manufacturer's settings for your smart TV. Please know that IMDb TV is only available on devices that support ad-supported channels. For Smart TV requirements, please see supported devices for the Amazon Prime Video App.

I have an AppleTV 4K box and I can watch Mad Men on Amazon Prime without ads. I recently got a Firestick 4K and it will only let me watch Med Men on IMDB tv with ads. There is no option that I have found to watch it without ads on the Firestick. Maybe that’s the difference between a $200 device and a $30 one, ads subsidizing a cheap device, like the ad supported Kindle.
When I access Amazon Prime via desktop without logging in, it only offers free access to Mad Men via IMDb TV. So it's not an Amazon device issue. (It also seems to be included with an AMC+ subscription.)
Perhaps you're accessing Amazon Prime differently through your Apple TV box, like maybe through AppleTV/iTunes? (BTW, you're sure you can still get it free without ads on your AppleTV box right now?) Maybe your AppleTV subscription is what's paying for the Mad Men access on that device.

Well...my series are all messed up. My Samsung smart TV isn't able to play IMDB content apparently, and the "commercial free" series I WAS watching for 3 seasons because it was part of my annual Amazon Prime paid subscription all of the sudden only plays through IMDB, and with commercials. In other words, I lost one of the main benefits of having a prime membership because of the switch.
