Fire Stick IMDb App Issue

Hello all,

For one day now I have been unable to watch any of the programs that were previously available on the IMDb app. When I attempt to, I receive a message that advises me to please try again because of an "ITV-2002 Error".

Despite having cleared both the cache and history of the app, as well as restarting my Fire Stick, none of this has remedied the problem.

Has anyone encountered this issue, and if so, how were you able to solve it?

Thank you.

Hi @Travis_Bickle

Here are a few things you can try:

  • Power-cycle your Amazon TV device:
    1. Unplug the device from the wall.
    2. Wait about two minutes before plugging your device back in.
  • Check for software updates.
    1. Go to: Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check For Software updates.

If you're still unable to stream content via IMDb TV, please contact Prime Video for further assistance with troubleshooting.

@Taylor

Thank you for your reply. I took the steps requested but still, the problem persists.

However, prior to doing this, I received a message that I had not seen before. It read:

"Failed to load Watch.

Sorry, we have detected that you are located outside of your home country and content is not available due to content licensing rights.

Please check back once you have returned to your home country."

I have absolutely no idea where this came from as my Fire Stick has not moved to another country let alone to another television. I use no VPN and so my IP address should be from the state in which I reside. I also verified that my Amazon account address information has not been changed.

Again, thank you for your assistance in this matter. It is much appreciated.

P.S.,

The Prime Video link you provided gave me an HTTP 404 error.

Apologies - I've corrected the link above to contact the Prime Video team regarding your Fire TV device.

An Amazon representative was able to determine the cause of the problem. Apparently, my visit to Amazon UK several days ago (to look for a Blu-Ray disc of a movie not yet available in the states) seemed to confuse Amazon into believing that I now reside there. This was described to me as an error on their part. When the rep corrected my residential status I was able to access content from this app. Thank you so very much for your assistance in this matter, @Taylor. It is most appreciated!

I have an LG Nano TV and have been able to watch movies on my IMDb app until several days ago.  Now when I try to start a movie I get error code 4001 "There was a Problem Loading This Page".

I have tried to load different movies however received the same error message.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and have rebooted the TV.

How do I correct this issue?

Thanks,  JP
