Ads way too loud on free dive

I am Loving Free Drive. And I don’t mind the ads. But the volume goes WAY up for them. Can we take it down just a little, please?

I had the same problem & found that turning on the “Smart Sound Mode” in my tv settings fixed the issue. It might also be called Auto Sound, Sound Leveler, etc., depending on your tv. I realized it was a tv setting issue because the commercial volume was loud on only one of three Fire Sticks. When I swapped the sticks between tvs, the same tv was loud while the others were still normal.

I cannot believe Amazon is so dumb to play IMDb commercials so loud. It's illegal according to the CALM Act (Commercial Advertisement Loudness MitigationAct (H.R. 1084/S. 2847)) and it turns consumers off. I guess that too few people complain about it for them to care.

Okay, but it might be a good idea to double check the actual words of 47 U.S.C. § 621, including the nuances of what constitutes what.

It's not just iMdB -- Hulu subscribers are making the same complaint. I myself quit Hulu when they increased the number of ads, along with their loudness.

It would not be surprising at all that there are many streaming services doing the same thing.
